It was at a Bad Bunny concert and at the Margarita bar when they saw each other for the first time. A year later, at a Tony Robbins event, they randomly and unexpectedly saw each other again. Via Instagram they started DMing, sending little "fires" and "hearts" away.

One day in January of 2020, Modesto saw in Instagram that Paloma was in Phoenix and invited her for a drink. It turns out she was around the corner and got to the bar in 5 minutes. We all think Paloma was stalking him since she got to the bar so quickly, but that's a story for a different day. They spent all day together and that's basically when and how the relationship started.

COVID lock down came along and they spent weeks together in their balcony ordering Steak 44, drinking wine and smoking cigars. Their first trip was to Cancun as Mexico was one of the countries that allowed traveling. The entire hotel was basically for them as there was probably only 10 guests there. After that, they have visited more than 15 countries, with endless conversations, laughing, eating and enjoying each other's company. They say that traveling is what made them fall in love!

Finally, and unexpectedly while lying on the couch, on a regular Saturday morning, Modesto proposed after four years of dating on February 8, 2024.

Why Modesto didn't propose at one of their extravagant trips is a mystery to everyone. He might reveal the answer to this question at the wedding.
